Campanula poscharskyana, commonly known as Serbian bellflower, is a perennial wildflower native to the Balkan Peninsula. It is recognized by its star-shaped to bell-like violet-blue flowers and trailing, spreading stems that cling to rocky surfaces. The species is named after German botanist Gustav Poscharsky, reflecting its relatively late scientific description compared to many bellflowers. Unlike most Campanula species, it is naturally adapted to cliffs, scree, and rock crevices, where its cascading growth allows it to survive in minimal soil. This ability has made it a characteristic plant of Balkan limestone landscapes and mountain ruins.
